DC Hydro-Power Generation Inc. was founded in 2008 with the participation of Esat Power Generation and trade Co.Inc., Göçay Construction Contracting and Trade Inc., Özdemir Construction Tourism Energy Industry and Trade Inc., Vatech Hydro GmbH, GE Renewable Austria GmbH, Voith Siemens Hydro Power Gen. GmbH & CO KG, Pöyryenergy GmbH ve Dolsar Mühendislik Ltd.Şti. with the objective of constructing the Doğanlı and Çukurca Dams, which are covered by the Bilateral Co-operation Agreement between Turkey and Austria, on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model basis in line with the said legal developments. 4 dams shall be built on Zap River around the borders of Hakkari province and its installed capacity is planned to be ~735 MW. Annual energy production is estimated to be ~ 2.358 Gwh / year, and the annual energy production proceeds are estimated to be 235.000.000 $/year.
